A BRIEF HISTORY OF
Tandoori Ovens
Where do we start, there are so many versions of the originality of this unique oven that everyone wants to take credit for it. Well, we at NSB Food Service Equipment & Supplies decided to end here and now.
The main thing to know about this special oven is that it bakes and cooks the best and healthiest meals without all the oils, grease or fat.
This type of cooking started around 3000 years ago, the cooking way never changed, but many designs and styles did. The original oven was made from clay by hand and use wood to heat for cooking. NSB decided to make one major change by making the insert of the oven from ceramic and not clay, testing shows that ceramic holds more heat and cooks evenly without changing the flavor.
Ceramic is very clean and it meets all the American Standards that we in the United States require. The ovens are made with natural or propane gas.
NSB started to manufacturer the first ever Electric Tandoori Oven in the U.S. that is approved by UL/ETL and NSF-4. By Going Green we are keeping our environment clean for the future and saving energy. |
